There are many fence companies out there to choose from. Some are good, and some are not up to the standard you want. Here are some things to look for when choosing a company.
Do Your Research
Good fencing companies have a proven history of success. If you choose a company that hasn’t been around for a long time, you don’t know if they’ll do great work or not. Let them make their mistakes and get their learning curve with someone else! If you have a problem with your fence and they go out of business, you’re stuck paying to get it fixed with someone else. Fence Masters has been in business for 21 years, no need to worry about us going anywhere.
Choose Someone You’re Comfortable With
We’ve all heard or experienced horror stories of booking a reservation at a “5-star” beachside resort only to get there and realize the pictures covering their website were fake. The same can happen with fence companies. You can go to any company’s website and see photos of excellent fences. Some companies have pictures of fences they didn’t even build. You have to be careful. Look at the images carefully. Every fence company puts a sign on the fence with their name and number. Look for that next time you’re viewing a company’s website.
Feel Comfortable with Who You Hire
Feel comfortable with the representative who comes to your home to give you an estimate. Did he or she answer your questions? Did he or she explain what they would do and how they would do it? Did he or she tell you exactly what kind of materials they use or even leave a sample of them?
Beware of companies who want to give you a quote over the phone without even coming to your property. This usually indicates they are overbooked and will most likely give you a very high estimate with hopes you agree without doing more research. If a company doesn’t’ think you’re worth spending a few minutes with – do you want them building your fence?
Understand What You’re Paying For
Choose a company that will do the best job for a fair price. The biggest mistake people make is going with the cheapest bid. We replace fences that are only 3 to 5 years old, and the homeowners are disgusted that they have to pay for a new fence so soon. The lowest bid is rarely the best bid. Materials and quality are not always cheap upfront but well worth it over the years. Saving 15% to 20% upfront is tempting, but having to put up a fence every few years costs a lot more than putting up a long-lasting, quality fence.
At The Fence Masters, we strive to find Lifetime Customers. We want your current business and your future business. Our company has nearly doubled in size in the last 18 months because of word of mouth. People are telling their family, friends, and neighbors about their experience with The Fence Masters. We value every customer and hope you’ll consider us for your next fence.
We Build Fences
Do you want your new fence installed by a company that does 5 different things just…so so? Or do you want a company that has been doing nothing but fencing for 20 years, has an A+ with the BBB, and guarantees their work?
There are lots of companies out there that install fences, do roofing, landscaping, lawn care, tree services, siding – you get the point! They have subcontractors who do many things, but not any of them are done with expertise. We at Fence Masters only install fences, nothing else.
And our Master Installation Crew is the best around. Professionals who know how to do the job right! All of our repairs or new installations are done with top quality materials by a top-quality team of professionals. Together, our team has over 130 years of fence installation experience.
